Mid Glamorgan Mixed Choir

In July 2018 we were pleased to hear that we had been awarded a Lottery Grant supported through Ty Cerdd, The Arts Council for Wales, the Welsh Government and Lottery Fund. The aim of the project is to raise the membership of the choir to 40 to coincide with our 40th anniversary. In the past the numbers in the choir had been as high as 75 but over the years this has dwindled with added competition from the number of choirs in the area and people leaving the choir. There is a real concern that the choir could cease to exist as there is a real mix of ages in the choir with 5 members having been with the choir since it was first established. To raise numbers the choir, as part of the project will go around the area publicising the work that it does and generally raise awareness of the choir itself.
